New Case Spotlight: Missed Spinal Cord Compression Led to Paraplegia

Raymond & Raymond LTD has filed suit on behalf of a man who while in emergency department at the hospital developed symptoms of a spinal cord compression. Despite obvious warning signs, critical imaging and treatment were delayed. The result: spinal cord compression that left him permanently paraplegic, unable to urinate, and loss of bowel control.

“This outcome was preventable,” said Patricia Raymond, Founding Partner. “Timely recognition and treatment could have spared our client from a lifetime in a wheelchair. Patients put their trust in hospital emergency room personnel to act quickly in moments of crisis. That trust was betrayed.”

This case reflects our mission at Raymond & Raymond: to advocate fiercely for patients and families harmed by negligence and ensure accountability in healthcare.
